As I get older, I find it more and more difficult to not take things too seriously. There is more pressure and you are responsible not just for you, but also for other people. At some point, decisions seem so set in stone. If I am going to decide for option A, there is no turning back (or you can turn back with a great loss of time and effort).
Long distance relationships are intensively discussed on the internet. Tips and advices can be found everywhere! But what about your friends? Your long term group of friends probably won’t live in the same city forever. How can you save your friendship? Today I present you 5 tips on how to make long distance friendships last!
–THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT–
Didn’t we all exerience the peer pressure in school or university?
“What?!! You are not going to the party on Friday? You are missing out!”
When I was in my hometown during the holidays, I met my best friends. We know each other since school! One of my friends has trouble in her relationship for so long already (they are a couple since 3,5 years). I don’t want to go into detail but let’s say they fight more than they have “good days”. I am already quite sick of their relationship because they always fight and she cries about him but goes back to him…
Yesterday was Black Friday and (not surprisingly at all) it also took place in Germany. In my city, shops were open until midnight and there were sales up to 70%. So what did I do on my Friday night? I went shopping with my boyfriend!
This week for the first time in a while, I was really bored. I had so many projects and exams in uni that I basically had a 24/7 job (well, almost). I was working on multiple projects and none of them were easy. Each project was a challenge. Now, I don’t mind to challenge my abilities but please not 24/7! To cope better with the next hectic uni phase, I have 5 tips to stop feeling overwhelmed because of too much work:
“And if I asked you to name all the things that you love, how long would it take for you to name yourself?”
It would take me awhile because impulsively a lot of other people and things would come to my mind. I oftentimes forget to love myself and I am rather my worst critic!
That’s why for this week’s Tuesday-Treasure I want to remind myself and you guys to love yourself! Don’t always put other people first! You are worth of being the No.1!
Did this ever happen to you? You sleep peacefully and all of a sudden you wake up in the middle of the night and everything feels wrong? You start to doubt every decision from the day. You regret everything. You are going to fail. You will disappoint people. Nothing will work out as planned. Panic. Worry. Your heartbeat is going faster. Stress. Your inner peace is in danger. Your sweet sleep is forgotten. You are paralyzed with fear.
What to do?
This week a family member passed away. I haven’t spoken with this person in over 15 years. It wasn’t a person you want to surround yourself with. I don’t want to go too much in detail because I think you shouldn’t speak negatively about a person who can’t defend himself anymore.
When I heard of the news, I had to cry.
I wasn’t sad about this person’s death, I was sad about how he wasted his life.
