Heads up: I love this book! When I first read the summary of the book I thought that it was such a cliché story but in the end I really enjoyed the story!
Can you belive it? I review a different book than the Clifton Chronicles! Today I want to review a historical novel (sorry, I love this genre the most). I read this book in German but since there is an English version available, I will write my review in English.
(This review will be in German because I couldn’t find an English version of the book and I don’t know if there even is going to be an English version…)
Today I check the first part of the Clifton Chronicles. In total, there are 7 parts (the English editions are already all published on Kindle while the last book in German will be published in December 2017). I love starting late with a series because I don’t have to wait for the next book to publish and can immediately start reading the next part!
Today I check the German edition (“Die Musik der verlorenen Kinder”) of the original title “The Jazz Palace”.
Today I want to try something new and launch a new segment on my blog! I want to write short reviews of books, therefore the name “Quick Check”. Don’t worry, this is not going to be a book blog because I just read about 1-2 books a month, so there are not going to be tons of reviews. The reason for this segment is that I read a book, remember that I like/don’t like it but I forget what the book was actually about and I don’t even remember why I liked/didn’t like it (wow, sounds like I have a memory problem…). The Quick Checks are a great way for me to remember the books I read and maybe some of you guys can benefit from my reviews! Let’s start!
