Here we are agian with the Clifton Chronicles… Sorry if I bore you but I love this series!
Author: Jeffrey Archer
Publisher: Pan Macmillan
Published: March 2013 (third part of the chronicles)
Number of pages: 384
Summary: 1945-1957. This part focusses on Giles and Sebastian. While Giles tries hard to defend his seat in the House of Commons, an old “friend” tries hard to prevent that. Sebastian on the hand has other problems. His naiveté could even lead him to jail!
I don’t have much to criticize except for the political part. Maybe because I’m not really into British Parliament, but sometimes it was hard to follow the election campaign. I’m also not an stock or business board expert but these parts were not hard to understand.
These books are really addicting! I love how the author keeps the lives of “old” characters interesting but also adds new characters to the story. It’s interesting that different countries are involved in the story. And also monarchy! This is a family saga I was looking for!
These damn cliffhangers! Of course I want to read the next part! (Thankfully, the books are quite cheap!)
